I’m Judith Ordoñez-Rudel, the founder and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.

I specialize in supporting children as they navigate big feelings, tough experiences, and the ups and downs of growing up. My passion is helping kids feel safe, understood, and empowered through play—while also guiding caregivers in building strong, secure connections with their child.

With a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a background in early childhood education, I combine professional training with hands-on experience to create a space where children can thrive. I work in both English and Spanish, making sure families feel fully seen and supported in their unique stories.

At Nurtured Play Studio, you’ll find a place where your child’s voice matters, where play is the pathway to healing, and where caregivers are welcomed as essential partners in the journey. Beyond the therapy room, I also lead the Nurtured Neighbors Scholarship and the Nurtured Neighbors Scholarship Therapist Referral Network, a community initiative that helps make therapy more accessible for families in need—because every child deserves the chance to grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
